Hebrew

[Author's Edit: Many THANKS to all of you who have responded! I didn't expect such a unanimous response. :) I appreciate your feedback!]

ATTENTION

This post is a poll. If you are reading these words,
I am interested in what you think.

Visitors to my blog generally fall into one of two catagories, according to all of the info I can gather. One category is those of you who know me or have come to know me through various means. The other is those of you who have found my page while looking for information on the Hebrew language.

To be honest, I had no idea that so many people were looking for some of the information I've posted on Biblical Hebrew, and I am still surprised at how many visitors I get just with the minimal information I have given. From attempting to look up information on Hebrew online, I know that online research of the Hebrew language is a very difficult thing to do at times, given that one has to look up transliterated approximations of the word or sound that is being studied. I also am seeing quite clearly that there is a desire, from many people all around the world, to understand the original languages of the Bible. To those of you who are reading because of your interest in Biblical Hebrew, know that I do still study Hebrew, and post from time to time on it still.

My question is this: would it be preferable to you for me to separate my inspirational blog posts from my Hebrew blog posts (which would entail having two separate blog sites), or do you prefer having them all together? I'll post a poll in my sidebar to this effect, so you can either comment here, or poll there. If you do both (poll and comment) please let me know so I have a more accurate judge of those who respond.

Thank you for your readership!

  1. I read your blog for the Biblical discussions, not for the Hebrew language part of it. I think that it is entirely your choice...although I don't have a lot of time to read/post so it would probably be better for me if you separated your blogs...I would probably read it more thoroughly.

    With Hope,
    Cheryl

  3. I read for the inspiration you provide from your heart. Two separate blogs would give you greater insight into how you affect others. But, I know from experience how difficult it is to maintain 2 blogs.

  4. I love being able to see both in the one blog, but if you decide to split it that's ok, I'll just visit both :)

  5. *Dale - Thanks. I appreciate your feedback! Considering how few (0) comments I get from people who exclusively are interested in Hebrew, you make a very good point. Thanks!

*Kimmy - Thank you! Good to see you again!!!

  6. I agree with Dale, Annie. I read for the inspiration, but I like the Hebrew studies. I also know how much work it is maintaining two blogs, so I'd prefer it to remain as one blog. I've already posted to that effect on the poll to the right :)

BTW - glad to see you in blog land again! I missed you!

  7. Dear Annie,
It feels good to be back here at your place. It feels like there is so much to learn from you...so fresh, so new...

I cried while reading your March 30 post. Tears in my eyes, and in my heart. Your heart is so soft, so tender, so fragile...and I don't know the specific events that led to it being torn and ripped to shreds, but yet, life does that to us.

I enjoy your inspirational posts, and will have to admit that I can't go deep enough to plunge into the Hebrew you try to share with us.

But there is nothing wrong with having them all in one blog place... this is who you are, and I accept all of you, not just parts of you, you know.

Keep the posts coming. I'm still your friend!

    Love
    Lidj

  9. *David - Thanks!

*Robert! - Long time no see! Thanks. I imagine it would be a great deal of work keeping up two blogs ... so I suppose I'm glad there are so few responses that direction! :)

*Beauty - Thank you so much for your kind, compassionate comment. It means a lot to me. Thank you for being my friend. :)

*Angie - Hello my dear! Your support makes me smile. :) Thank you!

  10. Hi Annie - the cool thing about blogspot now is that you CAN separate the two. You can have your main page be where you write about you, your life, and inspirational posts, and another page be for Hebrew stuff. You can go to my blog if you'd like, I have different links at the top. It's really easy to set up your blog like I did, so you can have the best of both worlds. When you post to your "Hebrew Lessons" sections, let's say, you can post that to your main page and point people there. If you want more info., let me know. :)

For me, I love the inspirational posts and the posts about your life (those are my favorite).

  11. *Carol - Thanks!! I think my sister mentioned that Blogger made Pages available (which is SO cool, 'cause that's what I've been wanting), so thanks for recommending them again! Thanks also for the encouraging words. :) I'm glad you enjoy what I write.
